How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”  Romans 10:14-15 NIV

Grace seeks, saves and Transforms the Faithful

The story of Zacchaeus is our story Luke 19:1-27. Jesus could have chosen any home to visit and would have been welcomed. He intentionally chose the house of the most public sinner so 2,000 years later we would still understand his purpose for coming to seek and save the lost. The night before traveling the road called “the ascent of blood” which leads Jesus to Jerusalem where he dies on the cross for the salvation of mankind he sought out the worst sinner in the city to stay with. When we listen and obey responding to Jesus by faith we are forever transformed by Jesus and experience the Joy of salvation, humility for forgiveness and generosity giving grace to others.

Faithfully Trust God's Mercy

Jesus is entering the last stage of his journey to the cross. As he gets closer to Jerusalem he shares with the disciples what lies ahead in Jerusalem. In each of the gospels Jesus made three predictions about his returning to Jerusalem and what awaited him there, suffering, rejection, death and resurrection. Jesus wants us to Faithfully Trust God's Mercy as we follow him praising him just the the blind man who regained his sight believing in Jesus. (Luke 18:31-43)

As Jesus is preaching the Kingdom of God is here and now is the time to believe. He addresses some misconceptions about entering his kingdom. How do I approach God's kingdom? Will I be accepted? Is it worth it? He answers each one saying Walk in Humble Dependent Faithfulness. Luke 18:9-30.
